With COVID-19 on the rise worldwide, the medical industry is facing a shortage of ventilators. Each ventilator requires a sensitive air pressure switch to monitor when air pressure falls due to a disconnect of the breathing tube. Using Presair’s (A child company of Senasys) D1000E pressure switch or PCB pressure switch, we can sense when air pressure falls to as little as 0.50 inches of water to alert the operator that there is a loss. On the flip side, the pressure switch can also alert the operator that air pressure is present in the system sensing pressure rise. In this way, Presair Pressure Switches impact the battle against COVID-19 by enhancing the reliability and responsiveness of ventilator systems in critical medical situations.

Sensitive Ventilator Air Pressure Switches
D1000 Series
Presair’s sensitive single pole switches can be adapted to pressure or vacuum switches, or as differential pressure switches. These switches are field adjustable or can be factory set from 0.25 inches of water to 35 inches of water.
These “slow make, slow break” switches can respond to rapid pulsing and the gold plated silver contacts will handle low level switching currents. Optional adjustable air bleeds can be supplied on either side of the diaphragm for pulse-sensing application safe edges or bellows.
Rating: 750 ma @ 250 VAC to 5 ma @ 3 VDC; 1 AMP @250 VAC to 5 ma @ 3 VDC. UL Recognized for 100,000 operations.

Printed Circuit Board Pressure Switches
PCB Series
Printed circuit board mount pressure switches are miniature single pole and double pole switches used as pressure switches where moderate accuracy is sufficient. Pressure ranges: 6 IN.W.G. to 65 PSIG. Pressure setting marked on switch in inches water gauge. Actuation point is customer specified and set at the Presair factory. Some models allow field adjustment.
Rating: 1 AMP resistive @ 250 VAC. Ratings are dependent on actuation pressure and must be de-rated at lower pressures. UL recognized for 100,000 operations.
Material: Rynite/acetal body, silicon diaphragm, gold pins and contacts, stainless steel springs and screws.
