Senasys acquires Precision Controls Company in Ann Arbor, MI
Acquisition increases product diversification and capabilities for OEM’s and consumers.
EAU CLAIRE, WIS. (May 19, 2025) – Senasys, Inc., a Wisconsin manufacturer based in Eau Claire, Wis. acquired the bi-metal disc, motor protector and circuit breaker manufacturer, Precision Controls Company, on May 19, 2025. Founder, Steve Dye, seeks to incorporate the Precision Control line to their product mix to provide a greater range of bi-metal products to the industrial and automotive industries, among others.
The Precision Controls product line consists of bi-metal discs of a variety of diameters between 0.500” and 1.500” that reset between 20°F (7°C) and 300°F (150°C). Each bi-metal disc can have holes in any size, location and quantity. The bi-metal discs are commonly found in a variety of different valves and electrical connections.
Additionally, Precision Controls offers motor protectors and circuit breakers rated up to 60 Amps @ 24 VDC. These products are commonly used with battery operation, and other types of motors.
Senasys is already a diversified manufacturer of a variety of bi-metal type thermostat switches, bulb and capillary thermostats, industrial controls and machining. As a result of the acquisition, Senasys will increase their capabilities providing a larger selection of bi-metal products to the original equipment manufacturer market.
Precision Controls Company was based in Ann Arbor, Michigan and has been making these devices for 70 years. The office and production as well as a number of jobs have been relocated to Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
