A common application use for Senasys snap disc thermostats is freeze protection. We received a new application from a car wash company, who need a way to insure their equipment doesn’t freeze. They need to make sure the temperature is high enough in the bill boxes and automated cashier to help with moisture removal and keep the touch-pad circuits warm. They also have to make sure that the CCTV camera housings aren’t freezing and the cameras are fog free.

Using our epoxy sealed snap disc thermostats, they can expose the switch to extreme conditions, make it a great solution for freeze protection. The snap disc thermostats opens at 75°F and Closes at 60°F – part number 431-301A00-636. The snap disc thermostat will turn on a heater which helps with the moisture, fog and freeze protection that was noted above.
Senasys manufactures a variety of snap disc thermostats that sense temperature as low as -50°F, with a variety of mounting options, our snap disc freeze protection thermostats will be a simple solution for many applications. Our temperature switches work by using a bimetal disc. The bimetal disc in the switch reacts to heat, and opens or closes a set of contacts based on what the ambient temperature is. This is works because the different metals in the disc react to heat in different ways, which causes the disc to bend.

I am in search of a freeze protection thermostat like this that will close at 35 degrees Fahrenheit and open above 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
You find a switch with those temperature specs here: http://senasys.com/product-category/epoxy-sealed-temperature-switches/half-inch-thermostat-switch/431-open-on-rise
Just click on the style you want, then select the desired temperatures from the drop down menu.
