Loose Mount Style | 432 Series
Open on Temperature Rise
Often used as a fail-safe, these manual reset thermostat switches require the user to intervene before resuming operations.
The bimetal disc will snap at the appropriate temperature separating the electrical contacts. The switch will remain “open” until the button on the back is pushed, moving the disc back into the “closed” position.
This model has a loose hold mount, which can be installed at any angle (shown here with 0°, 45°, and 90° terminals).

Purchased as a replacement for a failed disk thermostat in a water distiller. I would have preferred one with a 250 degree cutoff, but the 275 was the closest available, and it works fine, with no overheating of the distiller
