Senasys Adjustable Snap Disc Thermostats are quaility engineered thermal sensors specifically for a variety applications including heating systems and appliances. Senasys KST series feature adjustable fan or limit operation through our bi-metal disc design, giving users the ability to adjust the operating temperature within an approximate temperature range.
To ensure that a safe combination of thermostat and application is achieved, the purchaser must determine product suitability for their individual requirements.
Features
- Units available for limit and control applications.
- Accurate air and surface temperature regulation.
- Adjustable dial knob gives end user control over opening/close temperature.
- The snap-action of the bi-metal disc provides high-speed contact separation resulting in excellent life cycle characteristics at electrical loads up to 25 amps at 277 VAC for 100,000 cycles.
- Welded construction for integrity of current-carrying components.
- Contact chattering is virtually eliminated, as is false cycling and sparking.
- The bimetallic disc is thermally and electrically insulated from the power circuit, eliminating self- heating effects.
- Only the temperature of the controlled equipment causes the switch to actuate.
- Switch operation is rapid and positive due to the characteristics of the bimetallic disc.
- Enclosed or Exposed discs available. Exposed discs allow the switch to react faster to temperature change, an exposed bimetal disc or an optional matte finish disc may be specified. The enclosed disc construction provides greater protection than the exposed disc construction, keeping airborne contaminants such as dirt and dust from entering the control. It also protects the bimetal disc from possible physical damage during assembly and in the final application.
- For added flexibility, the orientation of the terminals with respect to the mounting bracket can be specified in 45 angular degree increments.
- Terminals 90° to mounting holes (standard)
- Terminals 45° clockwise to mounting holes
- Terminals 45° counterclockwise to mounting holes
- Variety of custom capabilities, such as terminal options, brackets, pipe and tube mounts, over-molding and epoxy sealing, and temperature specifications, to meet needs of original equipment manufacturers.
