Automatic reset snap disc thermostats can be configured to open or close their electrical contacts on temperature rise. Once the bimetal disc cools to the specified reset temperature, the contacts automatically return to their original state.
The 431 Series encapsulated 1/2″ automatic reset snap disc thermostats are built for use in environments where exposure to moisture, dust, or debris is a concern. The sealed housing protects the internal mechanism, ensuring consistent thermal response in harsh operating conditions. These thermostats feature automatic reset functionality, allowing uninterrupted operation without manual reset after temperature cycling.
Manual reset snap disc thermostats are available only with contacts that open on temperature rise. After the temperature falls below the calibrated open point, the contacts can be reset manually by pressing the reset button, preventing automatic restart and enhancing system safety.
