Capillary and Duct Limit Switches
At Senasys we design and manufacture a number of high limit switches including high limit capillary type thermostats and duct limit controls. A limiting device installed in a piece of equipment with a temperature setting that when the temperature is met either opens or closes a circuit. These are typically installed as a back-up or secondary control to prevent the equipment from exceeding a specified temperature, high or low. A fluid is encapsulated in a metal and when the temperature changes the fluid either expands or contracts. This fluid change moves a diaphragm which is in touch with a snap action switch and either opens or closes a circuit. Common applications include; restaurant equipment, HVAC and other custom applications.
These duct fan limit switches are installed in air ducts to shut down heating, air conditioning and ventilation equipment when air temperature in duct exceeds a pre-set limit. These duct fan limit switches are available field adjustable up to 200°F or factory set fixed temperatures. Common applications include; HVAC and building automation systems.
